These works are at the Plaxall Gallery. I recreated them. Ten years of my life add new aspect on them.

I have been a member of Long Island City Artist Association and have had my studio space in LIC since 2007.
It is important to support local artist community.
I am a part of Long Island City art community artists exhibition, Burn This at a art space Factory in Long Island City.
I teach Sumi-e occasionally and here I show a Sumi-e influenced painting: YODOMI:Debris of Thoughts. Sumi, watercolor on Rice paper mounted on canvas 30x 36 inches, 2019
Year 2018 had been terribly busy for me to work for two big exhibitions for me and fellow artists.
Yet, I created this huge work 42 x 64 inches.
Title is " Akiko's Heart."
The message text ,based on Akiko Yosano's famous poem, keeps telling you that you should not perish life for war.
Again and again... hundreds of thousand of times.
Making a text drawing is like a prayer.
The face is Machiko Kyo who stared in Akira Kurosawa's movie, RASHOMON.

Raciality
at gallery onetwentyeight
I am very honored that I could join this exhibition. My art is my voice about the issue. My voice is not loud but quietly shakes your heat. I made three small drawing of Little Red Riding Hood : Hispanic, While and Black girls.
Gallery's press release says:
What is the racial reality of life today? It does seem to be a different experience of you're black rather than white in this country. It does seem this way. But we are just one race--The Human Race.
人種問題に問題提起するテーマのグループ展です。私はヒスパニック、白人、黒人の赤ずきんちゃんを書いてみました。顔の表情に静かな反骨精神を込めて。
Japanese Artists Association of New York: The 43rd Annual Exhibition.
I found this association in 1998 while I was visiting New York for the group show in SOHO. They accepted me as a member in 1999. I had been an active member for 10 years and had been an president
for last two years. I left the Association in 2009 and returned this year! I think it is very important to know that you are a member of Japanese Art Community. Most importantly
it is very important to know Japanese Artists who have survived in this New York art scene more than 50 years! I respect them. The Association gave me "The Keizo Suyemura
Award" who had lived as an artist in New York and died last year. This is very honorable award.
